Me who needs sunshine to thrive, basks in it, the outdoors. so, in some ways, just everything that You is not. Me who’s more distinguished, somewhat simpler and more laidback. Me who’s a little bit older, only by roughly ten years or so. You who is an enigma, does best in the dark and gloomy. other times intense and volatile, if not a little crazy. You who’s incredibly passionate and spirited. You who’s a little younger, intriguing in his early twenties. luckily for me, it wasn’t the focus of the story, and the intensity of the romance itself meant i could switch off and indulge in the madness of lust. i’m glad i didn’t know beforehand because, quite frankly, i would not have read it knowingly otherwise. Going in, i had no idea of its also being set during the godforsaken pandemic but, alas, it is.
